Tragic news has emerged from Nigeria, where boxing legend Anthony Joshua has been involved in a devastating car accident that sadly claimed the lives of two individuals. The former heavyweight champion, aged 36, was injured in this incident on Monday, as reported by Nigerian authorities.

The crash unfolded on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, and distressing footage circulating online shows a shirtless Joshua appearing bewildered inside the damaged vehicle, surrounded by what seems to be shattered glass.
Officials in Ogun State have stated that they are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, which occurred around 11 a.m. in the town of Makun. As December is a busy month in Nigeria, with many visitors arriving for the holidays, the area was particularly crowded.
Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, shared with Daily Mail Sport that Joshua was on a family vacation and only learned of the tragic event upon waking. According to police reports, two passengers in Joshua's vehicle lost their lives instantly when the crash occurred. An eyewitness informed the Nigerian outlet Punch that Joshua's entourage was traveling
